SACRED SPACE ProjectsPKPD has developed expertise in the design and construction of liturgical environments; specifically synagogues. Katz has researched the tradition, history, laws, and culture of synagogue architecture and has developed a fresh, creative approach to the design solution. The Jewish communal spaces of the modern age can be infused with deeper meaning using timeless design principles. One of the goals is to reconceptualize what Sacred Space can do to be in harmony with the goals of the institution and support their mission. The design process is both site and community specific and is created in concert with the institution. PKPD will take a project from concept to completion. PKPD provides design services for Jewish Sacred Space, mikvot, synagogues, schools, liturgical furniture, as well as communal spaces. Katzs liturgical work is; firmly rooted in tradition and culture, imaginatively conceived in order to inspire, educate and delight, and all the work is crafted and detailed to the highest standards of quality, materials, and workmanship.
